Our volunteers are fully vetted and trained to provide support and resources to parents while they get back on their feet. What makes SFFC so unique is there are many roles in our Circle of Support so everyone can do something!
Too many isolated parents are dealing with overwhelming circumstances without a supportive community.
Too many vulnerable children unnecessarily enter the system with too few foster families.
Too many long-term effects and trauma are associated with family separation.
Too high a financial burden is placed on federal, state, and local governments and agencies.

Through this site, a school, a caseworker, or a community partner. Your local chapter receives the request and contacts you.
You and local staff work out together whether Safe Families is the right resource, then set goals and volunteer needs.
Local staff connect you with screened, trained volunteers — host families, family friends, and coaches.
Communication between you, the volunteers, and the chapter is ongoing for the duration of your referral — and beyond.
